Inspired by the expressive typographic forms of 1930s public lettering and advertisement, Tour reimagines this formal canon for contemporary use. Unlike its historical forebears, whose effect relied predominantly on all-capital settings, Tour’s textual qualities make it exceptionally capable in branding and communication design.
Tour’s finely balanced repertoire of letterforms allows pragmatic text composition as well as expressive display setting. Its distinctive voice shines through across the comprehensive weight range, regardless of the volume, at which the message is delivered.
Whilst most stylistic variations of an ornamental quality are limited to the capitals for striking effect in large sizes, a few select lowercase letterform alternates allow for a subtle tuning of text colour and pattern, as in the paragraph you have just read.
